Pump
Repair

Is it a pump? is it a motor? well, if it’s a motor driven pump it’s both. we’ve often heard about confusion as to where to send these units for repair.

Should it be to a pump specialist or to a motor specialist? There’s no confusion when it comes to us, we have a dedicated pump repair department next to our motor department. We can handle both parts professionally so there’s no need for us to rely on subcontracting out any of the repair process.

We have staff who are pump specialists, who understand pumps and pumping systems. One of their main roles is not just to repair a pump that’s come into us, it’s for them to understand why a pump has failed and to inform you so you can help prevent it happening again. The types of pumps we see for repair and service are varied, from cooling water pumps, submersible pumps, lobe pumps, fire pumps through to sluice pumps from power stations. Any pump up to 10 tonnes in weight can be repaired by us.

We know that a pump repair is no good to you if it leaks as soon as you’ve fitted it. That’s why we ensure that each pump is either dynamically wet pressure tested or statically pressure tested before it’s sent back to you.
